- Referral source information
Social media verification is performed using public APIs and publicly accessible profile data. We do not access your private messages, followers lists, or content beyond what is publicly visible.
Link Data
When you create short links, we collect:
- Short link slugs and destination URLs
- Link metadata (creation date, expiration, custom settings)
- Custom domain associations
- QR code configurations
Analytics Data
When visitors click your short links, we collect:
- IP address (anonymized after processing)

3. Hire Me Marketplace Data
Service Inquiry Data
When you submit or receive a Hire Me inquiry, we collect:

Contract Data
When contracts are generated for marketplace transactions:

Communication Privacy
All communication between clients and creators is facilitated through EdgeURL's in-app messaging system. Creators never see client email addresses directly. Replies are proxied through our email system to protect both parties' privacy. We do not read, scan, or analyze the content of your messages except for automated content safety screening.
4. Payment and Transaction Data
Payment Processing
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. EdgeURL never stores, processes, or has access to your full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security certification.
What We Store
- Stripe transaction IDs and checkout session IDs
- Payment amounts, platform fees, and creator payout amounts
- Payment status (held, released, disputed)
- Stripe Transfer IDs for creator payouts
- Timestamps for payment and payout events
Payment Protection
When Payment Protection is active, funds are charged at the time of payment but the transfer to the creator is delayed until the client confirms satisfactory delivery. During this hold period, EdgeURL stores the payout status to track the state of the transaction. This data is retained for the life of the transaction record.
Explorer Mode Accounts
Users in Explorer mode have minimal data profiles: username, email, account mode preference, and transaction history. Explorer accounts do not have public profile pages or appear in the Discover directory. They interact with the platform by following creators, saving bookmarks, and hiring talent.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- To process transactions and manage your subscription
- To generate analytics and insights for your short links
- To communicate with you about service updates and changes
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests
