Migrate from Rebrandly

Get Your Rebrandly API Key

First, you will need to get your API key from Rebrandly:

  1. Log into your Rebrandly account
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner
  3. Select Account Settings
  4. Navigate to the API tab
  5. Copy your API Key

Note: Your API key gives access to your Rebrandly links. EdgeURL only uses it to fetch your links during import and does not store it.

Open EdgeURL Import Tool

Navigate to the import tool in your EdgeURL dashboard:

  1. Go to your EdgeURL Dashboard
  2. Click the Import button
  3. Select Rebrandly as your import source

Connect and Preview

Paste your Rebrandly API key and connect:

  1. Paste your API key in the input field
  2. Click Connect and Preview
  3. Review the list of links that will be imported
  4. Verify the slugs and destinations look correct

Automatic Slug Matching: EdgeURL will attempt to use the same slugs (slashtags) from your Rebrandly links. If a slug is already taken, a unique suffix will be added.

Import Your Links

Once you have reviewed the preview, click Import Links to start the migration.

The import process will:

  • Create new short links for each Rebrandly link
  • Preserve your custom slugs where possible
  • Copy link titles and metadata
  • Show a summary of successful and failed imports

After Migration

Once your links are imported, you can:

  • Update your DNS to use EdgeURL short domains
  • View analytics on all your imported links
  • Generate QR codes for any link
  • Add tags and organize your links

Troubleshooting

Invalid API Key

Make sure you copied the full API key from Rebrandly. It should be a long alphanumeric string.

Slug Already Exists

If a slug is already taken in EdgeURL, we will add a unique suffix. You can edit the slug after import.
